- anything that requires judging will have a poll created when everyone is finished posting. Members will vote based on quality of the post.
- do NOT flood the chat box
- charries do not live at the centre. Only their horses do.
- seasons are the same as real seasons
- each new member must pick a horse from the newcomers barn and work with it.
- horses are retired from riding at age 22 [youngest horses on game are 15.] but on some rare occasions, there are younger retired racehorses that get sent here because of injuries and/or neglect. But unfortuanately, few of these young horses end up being sound and sometimes the older ones aren't sound either.
- you will get a random message when your horse dies. Don't worry, he will be atleast 22 years old.
- Put some variety and thought into your posts! Don't always make everything turn out perfectly. And these horses are virtual so it's okay if you have them get injsutred or sick every once in awhile.
- currency is not used

BASICS

Absolutely NO use of foul language or abusing other players. I will not let you stay on the board if you do.

If you post any explicit or gory pictures in post, siggys, or anywhere else, you will be deleted.

Please try to use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I have nothing against people who genuinely have no spelling ability, but at least use the spell checker or something.

PLEASE use proper capitalization. it's really annoying when people type like this and never ever use capitals even if they are using proper nouns and names and they are talking about their horses like shadow was very pretty and she was tall and black and shadow was doing all this stuff and then casey said come here shadow.... Etc, etc. It gets to be a pain.

Please use the forms included. When posting friends, horses, pets or characters, please use the forms that I THOUGHTFULLY put in for you.

NO STEALING WHATSOEVER! I spent a very long time making this board for your fun, so don't take my work and say it's yours.



GOD MODELING

Please don't God-Model. God-modeling is when you control another persons character without them actually writing it. It is also called 'power-playing' , and it is not allowed.
HORSES
Breeding must be brought to MY attention first, there will be no unauthorized breeding- you've gotta let me know first.

Stick to your horse limit. Its clearly stated under your avatar, and any violations may be punished.

Horses do not come in purple, pink, or with green stripes and orange polka-dots. Nor do they have horns or wings. Or the magical power to speak clear English to you. And there will be no draft horses and Shetland pony crosses. No zebra dogs either. Lets keep things realistic, kay?

only make a horse if you'll RP with it often- I don't want to see a profile for a horse that hasn't been posted with.

MEMBERS

One character per person. One account per person. That may change as the game progresses, but for now thats final.

Make your character realistic- nobody's perfect, and that's a fact no matter what anybody else thinks.

Only make an account if you have time to RP! For goodness sakes- I see this all the time. People will join and never post, and it drives me insane! YOU WILL HAVE TWO WEEKS TO MAKE YOUR FIRST POST. AFTER THAT, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE DELETED, NO WARNINGS. I'll just delete it, and don't think I won't. I get fed up with people who join and don't post, so if that's gonna be you, don't join.

LIMITS

You can have as many pets as you like.
The number of horses you can have is decided by how much you post.
For example:
500 posts = 20 horses
300 posts = 10 horses
200 posts = 7 horses
75 posts = 5 horses
0-75 posts = 3 horses
You rack up post quickly, so no complaining please. Also, these are guidelines, and I may change them as I see fit.

TIME

4 REAL months is equal to ONE RPG year.
2 REAL weeks is *approximately* one month.
Horses will age every:
JANUARY 1
APRIL 1
AUGUST 1

Seasons change. Dress/Rp accordingly. Aka you probably wont be riding much outdoors in the winter, if at all.

The rules for this site were borrowed from the original OTH, which was made by Jenny. I only tweaked the rules a bit, and I don't take any credit for coming up with the concept of OTH at all.
